Laura Kennedy has put together a campaign for Veterans. I am supporting it and I want you to do the same. Buy the blankets. Since the Vietnam war I have been consistently opposed to the indifference to veterans and their families after they have risked or given life and limb for their country — that is to say for YOU! We owe it to them to do what the government should be doing and isn’t, although some efforts have been made in recent years.
Regardless of your ideology or policy preferences, these service men and women were out there for you on the orders of people we elected. It’s no excuse to say you voted against the wars. You are part of the society that sent these young, brave men and women there to fight for our country’s policy.
